McCain doesn't have plans he has results...

I am reading Politico's article about McCains prepared speech today on the economy and once again this man gives us NO plans whatsoever he gives results.

example an excerpt from his plan

Immediate relief for American families on gas and food prices: "Under his plan, the United States will be telling oil producing countries and oil speculators that our dependence on foreign oil will come to an end --and the impact will be lower prices at the pump. John McCain's policies will increase the value of the dollar and thus reduce the price of oil. ...

from near as  Ican tell, he will simply TELL oil speculators and oil producers that we are no longer dependent on them and this will some how lead to lower prices at the pump.

can anyone point out HOW thats done? because I sure as heck can't and why hasn't anyone TOLD them already? if all we have to do is just say we aren't dependent on them and our prices drop lets do it already.

or this

"John McCain believes we should institute a summer gas tax holiday. Hard-working American families are suffering from higher gasoline prices. John McCain called on Congress to suspend the 18.4 cent federal gas tax and 24.4 cent diesel tax from Memorial Day to Labor Day."

but as this diarist pointed out, McCain didn't even include the gas tax holiday in his plan he submitted to economists

my fav.

"John McCain has a comprehensive health care reform plan that will reduce the spiraling cost of health care - a major burden for those small businesses that offer health insurance and a major impediment for those who cannot. He will provide $5,000 for health insurance to every American family--supporting small businesses that seek to offer insurance. John McCain opposes costly mandates or `pay or play' requirements that would raise the financial burden on small business, cut the ability to hire, expand, or raise payrolls."

should your plan, start with the words John McCain has a plan, I mean isn't that what we are suspose to be reading? unless they seem to think the $5,000 tax credit (you have to have paid $5,000 or more to get the credit of $5,000, so those who cant even afford to spend it, aren't getting a credit) is enough in this day an age?

I mean sure all these attacks of Obama is an empty suit, but McCain can't even claim that, for the last few months all he gives us are his results, like his quasi fortuning telling speech where he told us by 2013 the world is a magical place where the wars in Iraq is over, and the Budget is balanced.

and how does he actually plan to balance that budget AND extend the Bush Tax cuts, all while keeping us in Iraq untill its won, but having us out by 2013?

I have no clue, but I trust McCain to have a Plan on it, Don't you?

He comes from the Lou Dobbs school of politics:

All talk, NO solutions.

Does anyone else think Lou Dobbs could have been the model for the television anchor in V for Vendetta?

Well (none / 0)

Since this is the same guy who said this when asked how he'd solve the crisis in Iraq:

"One of the things I would do if I were President would be to sit the Shiites and the Sunnis down and say, 'Stop the bullshit,'"

I don't think any of this is really surprising.

Oh, but he has a plan.  He's going to pay for everything by trimming pork from the Federal budget.  He's going to increase military spending, increase spending on healthcare, make Bush's tax cuts permanent, make new tax cuts, and balance the budget--all by trimming pork.

How much pork does John McCain think there is, exactly?

I'm struck by the image of an obsessive gambler saying "I'll just go to the roulette table for one more week...  I can pay for by buying the cheapo toilet paper instead of the fancy two-ply kind with aloe."

McCain's "America for Sale" campaign (none / 0)

Privatize America and the corporations will come out with the solutions ... at a price. The joys of free enterprise. To balance the budget, outsource. China can provide a president for a fraction of the USD 2 billion,Americans will likely spend on electing the President. They currenly own large portions of the US government and its colossal debt which is why GWB is heading off to China hat in hand to attend the Olympics.
